Seuraavana viikonloppuna suuntasin sitten perjantaina Surfers Paradiseen. Menin sinne yhdeksi yöksi ja oli muuten mun ensimmäinen yö hostellissa :D Surfers Paradise jakaa mielipiteitä moneen suuntaan, mutta mä kyllä tykkäsin siitä kovasti. Se toi mulle vähän mieleen Euroopan rantalomakohteet (mm. malta, sunny beach tms.). Iso osa siihen miksi tykkäsin Surfersista niin paljon taisi kyllä olla se, että näin niin monia mun kavereita Fraser Islandilta. Ilta ei paljon parempi olis voinut olla. Itse sitä kuuluisaa surffausta en kyllä päässyt Surfers Paradisessä kokeilemaan, joten täytyy kyllä palata kokeilemaan niitä isoja aaltoja :) Surfersin hostelleissa oli tosi letkee tunnelma ja tutustuin moniin tosi huikeisiin tyyppeihin. Hauskaa että jonkun kanssa pari sanaa vaihdettua voi lähteä vaan kiertelemään katuja ja viettää yhdessä koko aamupäivä ja sitten hyvästellä ystävänä ja toivoa että törmäillään uudestaankin.
Lauantaina Susanna ja Sonja tuli autolla Brisbanesta ja nappas mut kyytiin ja lähdettiin ajamaan kohti Byron Bayta! Ajomatkan kuuluis kestää noin 2tuntia, mutta me ilmeisesti tykätään matkustaa koska matkaan kului kyllä hieman useampi tunti :D Päästiin kuitenkin lopulta perille ja löydettiin jopa oikea hostellikin (hämäyksen vuoksi niitäkin oli kaksi saman nimistä) ja lopulta päästiin rentoutumaan biitsille. Byron Bayssä oli tosi ihana tunnelma ja kaikki kahvilat ja kojut oli tosi ihanan näkösiä. Byron onkin tunnettukkin omasta hippitunnelmastaan. Meillä oli Byronissa tosi kiva ilta, johon sisältyi ties mitä viidakkoseikkailua ja uusia ihmisiä :D
Tämmöstä tää elo täällä toisella puolella palloa tuntuu olevan että koko ajan joutuu vaan hehkuttamaan toinen toistaan upeampia viikonloppuja, paikkoja ja ihmisiä. Mutta kyllä tähän viikonloppuun mahtui yksi pettymyskin, nimittäin sunnuntaina oli aivan jäätävä rankka sade, minkä takia ei pystytty tekemään Byronissa käytännössä mitään. Ajettiin kyllä autolla ylös lighthouselle, mistä pitäis olla upeat maisemat, mutta sateen takia ei autosta pystynyt edes ulos astua, saati että olisi jotain sitten nähnyt... Lähdettiin siispä ajamaan takasin Gold Coastille ja Surfers paradiseen, jossa syötiin 3dollarin pihvit. Hyvä (ja halpa) ruoka, parempi mieli, niin se toimi tälläkin kertaa :D Ja sainpa hyvän tekosyyn mennä Byroniin uudestaan ;)

// On Halloween I promised to stay in Bundaberg and spend some time with my a pair friends. Burnett Heads (part of bundaberg) had a light house festival, so we went there and it was nice to see a special event here.
Weekend after that I decided to leave Bundy behind again and I went to Surfers Paradise for one night. It was also my very first night in hostel :D I have heard different opinions about Surfers paradise, but I really enjoyed that place. It reminded me of some of the typical Holiday places in Europe (For example Malta, Sunny Beach etc...) Still I think the main reason why I liked Surfers paradise so much was that I met so many of my friends from Fraser Island. It was amazing. After all, I didn't do any surfing on Surfers paradise, which is quite funny, so I quess I need to get back someday to try those big waves ;)
Hostel where I stayed in Surfers was very good and I met some lovely people. It is absolutely funny how you just randomly start talking to someone on hostels, then you spend a whole day together and then when it is time to go, you say goodbye as a good friend and hope that you will meet up again.
On Satturday Susanna and Sonja drove down from Brisbane and picked me up and we started our trip to Byron Bay! The drive from Surfers to Byrom should be around 2hours but obviously we like travelling because our little trip took quite a long time :D But finally we arrived to Byron bay and also managed to find our hostel (there was two same named hostels, why?!?!). We went to relax By the beach. I really liked Byron Bay, it has it's own hippie feeling and streets are full of cute shops and cafes. We had a very nice evening on Byron with all of the little adventures in the jungle and amazing new people that we met :D
Living and telling about my life here seems to be only freaking out how amazing weekends I had and how many amazing places and people I met. Still this weekend we had a little bit of bad luck, because it was a pouring rain on Sunday in Byron. We couldn't do literally anything. We drove up to the lighthouse, where should be great views, but because of the rain, we couldn't see anything at all. So we started to drive back to Gold coast and Surfers Paradise and went to eat big steaks with only 3AUD. Good (cheap) food makes you always feel better ;) And because I couldn't see so much in Byron, now I have a good reason to go there again!
