Lähettiin au pair tytsyjen kanssa perjantaina autolla kruisailemaan Brisbaneen koska lauantaina oli tarkotus suorittaa Skydive!!! Aika Basic tourist juttu täällä ausseissa ja TODELLAKIN kokemisen arvonen. Meillä se oli siis Jump the Beach, Brisbane, mutta skydiven voi tehä monessa muussakin paikassa ausseissa, esim. Mission Beachilla, Byron bayssä tai vaikka Sydneyssä.
Täytyy sanoa että automatkalla ennen skydiveä, tunnelma oli jokseenkin jännittynyt ja radiosta pauhasi Examplen - Changed the way you kissed me (I've never been afraid of the highest heights,
or afraid of flying, now. I've never been afraid of the wildest fighst, not afraid of dying!). Ite en osannu kyllä suhtautua siihen muuten kun huumorilla, mun pääkoppa ei varmaankaan pystyny oikeen käsittämään sitä faktaa että kohta tässä ollaan menossa hyppäämään lentokoneesta.
Hyppy suoritettiin noin 30min päästä Brisbanesta, Redcliffessä, jossa noustiin lentokoneella 14,000 jalan korkeuteen. Sieltä korkeuksista sitten pudottauduttiin tandem-hyppynä ja ekat 60sekunttia oli täydellinen free fall minkä jälkeen laskuvarjo avataan (mikäli aukeaa ;D) ja viimeset about 5min (?) leijaillaan sitten rennosti varjon varassa ja ihaillaan aivan täydellisen upeita maisemia! Laskeutuminen tapahtu vielä kaiken kukkuraks suoraan rannalle.
Koko lentomatka ylös olin vielä ihan suhteellisen rauhallinen ja ilman sen suurempia pelkoja, mutta siinä vaiheessa kun lentokoneen ovi avattiin ja lähdettiin ryömimään sitä kohti, käväsi mielessä että "mihinhän mä nyt oon siis oikeestaan ryhtynyt?!". Kaikenkukkuraks olin meijän porukan ainoo mustalammas joka päätti suorittaa hypyn ilman minkäänlaista vakuutusta xD (olishan se nyt ollut aivan turhat 30dollaria), joten mun tuuletukset kun varjo aukes oli kyllä varmana näkemisen arvoset :D
Siis en oo ikinä tehnyt mitään noin siistiä. Mulle oli helpotus se kun ei tarvinnut ite päättää sitä että hyppää vaan se avustava henkilö siinä vaan yksinkertasesti hyppää, sen enempää kyselemättä. En voi mitään muuta kun suositella!!! Nyt kaikki vaan hyppimään lentokoneista (laskuvarjot messiin joohan)!

We left with other au pair girls down to Brisbane to do a Skydive! It is pretty Basic tourist thing to do here in Australia and ABSOLUTELY worth to do. We did it in Jump the Beach, Brisbane, but you can do it in lots of other places too (for example Mission beach, Byron bay or even Sydney).
I must say that when we were driving to do the skydive, the feelings in the car were quite nervous and we kept replaying Example's song Changed the way you kissed me (I've never been afraid of the highest heights,or afraid of flying, now. I've never been afraid of the wildest fighst, not afraid of dying!). I wasn't very scared beforehand, I mostly just made jokes about it, I think my head wasn't clever enough to realize the fact that soon I was going to jump out of the plain...
The jump was located in Redcliffe, about 30min away from Brissy. We flew to 14,000feet and jumped out as a tandem-jump. First 60seconds were a free fall and after that the rest 5minutes (?) just flying around with the parachute (As long as it opens ;D) and looking at the wonderful view. And we landed straight to the beach.
All the way up I was pretty calm, but when they opened the plains door there was a little voice in my head which asked "where have you putted yourself into?!?!?!?!?!" And what's more, I was the only one of our group who decided to jump without an insurance (30dollars come on...!) so my partymoves when parachute opened up must have been worth to see :D
I have never done anything as cool as skydive. It is so great that you don't have to decide if you jump or not, because the person you jump with will just simply jump out without asking any questions. So everyone, if possible, just do it, jump out of the plane (with some Company, and a professional, oh yea and a parachute) !!!
